Supervisors scheduled to decide this Tuesday on whether to rescind the project or let the voters decide!

This Tuesday, February 14th, the County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to decide the fate of the MST / Whispering Oaks project, which drew a successful referendum petition and a lawsuit last year. This terrible project proposes to remove 3,400 oak trees on 58-acres in the former Fort Ord for a bus yard and office park. 18,000 folks signed the referendum petition because the project simply doesn’t make sense in an area full of blight waiting to be redeveloped!

Read my editorial from the Herald: http://www.montereyherald.com/opinion/ci_19944932/mst-plan-just-plain-crazy

Also, the Herald agrees! See their opinion: http://www.montereyherald.com/opinion/ci_19944936/editorial-whispering-oaks-wrong-site-bus-yard

PLEASE attend the hearing and tell the Supervisors what you think!

WHAT: Board of Supervisors hearing on MST / Whispering Oaks Project

Please join us as we ask the Supervisors to rescind the re-zoning for the Whispering Oaks site and its approval of the flawed environmental document! Supervisors can also let the voters decide the fate of the project!

Let’s work together to overturn the County Board of Supervisors' decision to approve the MST/Whispering Oaks project!
