Salinas General Plan Workshops

 

The City of Salinas has begun a General Plan Update process, and will soon hold a number of workshop sessions, to hear from the public. LandWatch members and interested persons are strongly encouraged to attend.

The first three workshops are "District" workshops, to gather information from different parts of the City. Here is the schedule for the "District" workshops:

Districts 5 and 6
Council Members Jan Collins and Jyl Lutes

Date: Wednesday, April 11, 2001
Time: 6:30pm to 8:30 pm
Location: Northminster Presbyterian Church, 315 East Alvin Drive, Salinas

Districts 3 and 4
Council Members Janet Barnes and Gloria De La Rosa

Date: Wednesday, April 18, 2001
Time: 6:30pm to 8:30 pm
Location: Salinas High School, 726 South Main Street, Salinas

Districts 1 and 2
Council Members Ernesto Gonzalez and Roberto Ocampo

Date: Thursday, April 19, 2001
Time: 6:30pm to 8:30 pm
Location: St. Mary of the Nativity Church (Parish Hall), 424 Towt Street, Salinas

The next three workshops are planned as "Topic Group" workshops, to focus on key policy issues. Here is the schedule for these policy-oriented workshops:
