Calpine Power Plant
The Calpine Plant is proposed for Northern Monterey County in the community of Pajaro. This 45-megawatt powerplant, if built, would be constructed in a redevelopment zone and in a flood plain. This plant would use significant amounts of water, even though the Pajaro area already suffers from serious overdraft and salt water intrusion.
