Resources at Risk
- Impacts to Monterey Pines
With only five native stands of Monterey Pines worldwide, Jacks Peak Park would have too many negative impacts with a zipline and other related infrastructure amongst the trees. - Increased Park Use
The Park is about $4,000 in the under budget each year and the project applicant believes with the zipline, the park will meet its budget. However, with increased park use, there will also be increased traffic, parking issues, and noise.
