There are a lot of proposals in the Carmel Valley area that have required our short and long-term attention. Many of the proposals have impacts to water sources, conversion of natural lands, and traffic.

  LandWatch recommends the EIR for the proposed project evaluate the following project alternatives in addition to the no project alternative: (1) Locating the facility within the existing city limits of Seaside, (2) The City of Greenfield as originally proposed, and (3) Retrofitting the existing courthouse in the City of Monterey. Each alternative should consider all the environmental resource issues identified for the proposed project. (08.16.22)
